It isn’t that you need all of that space, but it allows more of the beef to be topped with cheese which is the real reason we are here.

You know we love pizza around these parts and up at Cris’ house. Well folks, have I got a treat for you! This Crock Pot Crustless Pizza that I adapted from Gooseberry Patch’s Game-Day Fan Fare is delicious! And, it can be made low carb if you use low carb pizza sauce!

Crockpot Crustless Pizza

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 4 hours
Total Time: 4 hours 10 minutes
Servings: 4 Servings

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups pizza sauce ( or marinara sauce)
  • 5-6 slices provolone cheese ( or additional mozzarella cheese)
  • pizza toppings of your choice (pepperoni, mushrooms, peppers, etc.)
  • 2 lbs ground beef (browned)
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese

Instructions:

  1. First, Spray a 5 qt or larger crockpot with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Second, Add in the browned ground beef and 2 cups of mozzarella cheese. Stir to combine and then spread in an even layer across the bottom.
  3. Next, Top with the pizza sauce in an even layer.
  4. Finally, add the provolone cheese across the top 0r additional mozzarella.
  5. Top with your choice of pizza toppings, cover, and cook on low for 4 hours or high for 2 hours.
  6. Serve with some parmesan cheese. Enjoy!

Keto Dinner | Keto Salisbury Steak with Mushroom Gravy

My earliest memory of Salisbury Steak was back when we were kids and we’d beg my mom, who cooked everything from scratch, to let us get frozen “TV dinners” as an occasional treat. They came in a disposable aluminum container that had little partitions with a protein, a starch (usually mashed potatoes – instant), a veggie like corn or peas, and a little square of dessert. Anyway, my favorite was the Salisbury steak – mostly because it came with the cherry pie which was my preferred dessert option.  The steak itself was basically a hamburger with gravy on it, which wasn’t nearly as offensive as the awful gelatinous round slices of fake turkey with gravy that my brothers usually got (they preferred the apple pie) so I didn’t really mind. In my opinion, the most important thing to keep in mind when using xanthan gum in a recipe, is that less is usually more.
